Moonlit Guide Puget Sound

FAQ

Questions, answered

Using the guide

What area does Moonlit Guide cover?

The Puget Sound: King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Kitsap counties, plus Whidbey and Camano islands in Island County. Some readers and healers also work online.

Is it free?

Yes. The calendar, the shops and practitioners list, Moon & sky, and the weekly email are free, and so is being listed.

How do events get picked?

We gather them with a little help from automation and a lot of help from local shops, readers, healers, and organizers. We list fairs, markets, circles, classes, sound baths, and reader days around the Puget Sound. Each event links to its host, tickets, and venue when we can find them, and if we couldn't confirm a detail, the listing says so. Plans do change, so check with the host before you head out.

How often is it updated?

Twice a week. New events, changes, and cancellations show up at the next update.

Does a listing mean you recommend it?

No. We share events, shops, and practitioners so you can discover them, not as endorsements. Every reader and healer works a little differently, so look over their site and booking policies before you go. More in our terms of use.

How are the moon times worked out?

Moon phases, signs, eclipses, and retrogrades are calculated for Seattle in Pacific time, using NASA JPL's DE421 ephemeris and the tropical zodiac. Moon names follow The Old Farmer's Almanac, which drew on Native American, Colonial American, and European sources. Names differ from Nation to Nation, and the Coast Salish peoples of this region have their own.

Your listing

How do I get listed?

Shops, studios, readers, healers, and makers can list your shop or offerings. Hosting something? Submit an event. Both are free.

How do I update my listing?

Use the correction form. You get a real say in how your listing reads: we use your own wording and tidy it to fit the site (a sentence or two, no all-caps, no health or cure claims). If we change it much, we'll send you the final version. To make sure it's really you, we may check through the email on your website or your listed social account.

I spotted a mistake. How do I report it?

Wrong date, broken link, a shop that's moved? Send a correction and we'll fix the listing.

Can I have my listing removed?

Yes, anytime, no questions asked. Use the correction form or email [email protected].

Still wondering? Email [email protected], or head back to the calendar or shops & practitioners.
